A compounder can be used to mix additives into a thermoplastic material. The equipment used is a custom twin-screw compounder with monofilament head. Experiments can be logged on the controller box. Due to the channel and a bypass valve, the residence time is well-defined. A sample batch can be compounded at 5 g scale. At the our or customer’s facility, this material can be tested for its suitability for a specific application.
