Platen press

A platen press is used to produce plate specimens for use in DMTA, rheology, tensile tests, etc. The equipment used is a Dr. Collin P200E platen press with a maximum temperature of 300°C. The desired thickness of a film specimen can be achieved by choosing the right die from the range available. A cassette cooling system is in place for cooling the molds. The platen press allows a maximum specimen size of 150 x 150 mm, with a maximum thickness of 4 mm.
