HT-GPC or HT-SEC is used to determine the average molecular weight (Mn and Mw) and the dispersity (Mw /Mn) of crystalline polymers which show low solubilities in common organic solvents at ambient temperature. Therefore, HT-SEC is routinely applied to polyolefins, such as PE, UHMWPE or iPP. Molecular masses are calibrated versus monodisperse polymer standards.
