Suspension polymerization

Due to its shape, the Juchheim 6.4 L reactor is especially suited for suspension polymerizations. Effective mixing and heat transfer is ensured by two four-blade impellers at 45° and a baffle (optional). Liquid monomers or blowing agents are remotely dosed by a fully computer-controlled metering pump. Accurate temperature control is delivered by a heavy-duty (8.5L reservoir) oil bath. Polymer beads are conveniently isolated on the filter unit connected to the bottom valve of the reactor. Relevant process parameters (T, P, torque) are logged.
