DLS is a technique used to determine the size of particles dispersed in a liquid, or the size of droplets in an emulsion. Various types of particles, including nanoparticles, polymers, micelles and proteins, can be characterized by DLS. Since the stability of dispersions or emulsions often depends on particle size, DLS can also be used to study processes of aggregation and agglomeration.

DLS - Dynamic Light Scattering. This technique determines the size of particles dispersed in a liquid or the size in droplets in a emulsion.
