Hardness (Shore A or D)

The Shore durometer is a tool to measure the hardness of a material, by measuring its resistance to indentation. Our available durometers cover the two most common Shore hardness scales. Shore A is used for softer materials like elastomers, soft rubbers, polyesters, resins and leather. Shore D is used for harder materials like thermoplastics, fibers and hard rubbers. Each scale results in a value between 0 and 100, with higher values indicating a harder material.
